DNS, unable to add an entry for a subdomain hosted by an external provider
-
I have my blog registered at GoDaddy which uses the WordPress name servers. I have added a hosting account for a subdomain at GoDaddy as we have a need for a custom payment solution using Braintree. I have added an A record to the subdomain in the WordPress DNS manager and have waiting 24 hours but I am unable to browse to my subdomain. I believe this is due to a CNAME existing in the WordPress DNS for *.websitename.com which I cannot delete. Please advise and thanks in advance.

I just visited http://memberships.minakicottagers.org/ and was directed to your GoDaddy site.
Domain changes usually take several hours to fully take effect (and theoretically can take up to 72 hours). I’d recommend checking back in a few more hours. You can also try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Instructions can be found here:
If it’s still not working 24 hours from now, simply reply back and let me know. I’m happy to investigate further.

Yes it does seem to be working now. I tested in multiple browsers and cleared my cache multiple times. Must have been the TTL. Glad I’m not completely loosing my mind. Thank you
