  Hi I was wondering how to map a domain I had already bought to the free one that was provided to me without having to pay for the premium version of WordPress and just pay the $13/year.

  You cannot register or map a domain individually with WordPress.com. Domain subscriptions can be purchased as a part of one of our many plans here.

  So how do I map the domain that I purchased with Godaddy with the one that was provided for me by WordPress?

  Hi there,

  In order to use your domain hosted elsewhere with your WordPress.com site, you’ll need to change the domain nameservers at your domain host, and point them over to WordPress.com. Our nameservers are:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Then, you’ll need to purchase the mapping subscription upgrade as a part of a paid plan so that you can map your domain over to your WordPress.com site.
