DNS Zone request concerning a registered .fi-domain
-
(Posted this on the .org Support side as well, but in order to get an answer decided to ask this here as well)
So, I’m helping out a friend to get a site up and running, and just about the only thing left to do is to configure the name servers. Not an issue normally, but apparently .fi-domains require something special if the blog is hosted at wordpress.com.
Base details:
Blog location: http://www.liikuntastudiovala.wordpress.com
Registered domain: http://www.liikuntastudiovala.fi
…and the issue:
While assigning ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com and ns3.wordpress.com as the name servers for the domain’s config, I get an error message telling me that the related IPs are not responding and receive a [Technical Error] tag.
Whois returns:
status: Granted
created: 18.12.2015
modified: 10.1.2016
expires: 18.12.2016
nserver: ns2.wordpress.com [Technical Error]
nserver: ns3.wordpress.com [Technical Error]
nserver: ns1.wordpress.com [Technical Error]
dnssec: noApparently a DNS Zone record needs to be added, but this looks to be something that needs to be requested from here? The plan the site is on at the moment is Premium, if that matters in this case.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Looks like now the nameserver change on the registrar’s end passes the technical check, but still after 24h whois returns the exact same as in the initial post.
And the mapping in the wordpress.com/domains doesn’t work either.

Hi @liikuntastudiovala, I’ve just tried mapping the domain from our end. Everything’s working now. Let us know if you need more help!
