DNS Zone request concerning a registered .fi-domain
-
Hi, I’d really appreciate some help. We have just moved our domain hety.fi to be name-served by ns1.wordpress.com – ns2.wordpress.com – ns3.wordpress.com.
Base details: blog location: http://hetyfi.wordpress.com
Registered domain: http://hety.fiHowever, there is a Technical Error coming from this, like this:
Whois returns:
domain: hety.fi
status: Granted
created: 8.6.1999
modified: 15.8.2012
expires: 31.8.2017
nserver: ns1.wordpress.com [Technical Error]
nserver: ns3.wordpress.com [Technical Error]
nserver: ns2.wordpress.com [Technical Error]
dnssec: noSo.. Apparently an additional DNS Zone record needs to be added for .FI domains? Can this be requested from here? The site is a Premium site.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, do you still need help with this? I can see the domain works here now, however it isn’t set to primary.
You can do that here: https://wordpress.com/domains/

Hi supernovia, whois.net still gives the same error (Technical Error) – can this be fixed?
I’ve set hety.fi as the primary domain now and it seems to load, but can this technical error thing be fixed?

Thanks @esaruoho, I’ve done some digging, too. While you should only get this error if there aren’t any DNS records here on our servers, you actually do have a DNS zone with us and several records.
So my guess is that your registrar isn’t recognize that somehow, or perhaps the servers for .fi just don’t see the changes yet and will after a few days.
Do you want to try getting in touch with the registrar to see if there’s any setting on that side that needs to be bumped? They might have you change your nameservers, then change them back again or something like that. I’m not sure. But we do know your zone is here and the records are working.
Let us know what you find out!
