Do do you link your CSS code?

I’m currently working on a website. I use WordPress & have the Twenty Fourteen theme installed. I love the theme! I’m wondering if it’s able to link your CSS code? I’m just trying to touch up on my landing page code.

I figure the less there is in the source page code, the more Google will crawl effectively. I don’t think it’s super important, however I’m trying to figure out how and if this is possible. I know it’s possible, but I don’t know how to do it. :|

Any help would be much appreciated. Happy Valentines Day & God Bless!

While this may be true, the Twenty Fourteen theme is the current default theme for WordPress and so I suspect it’s already pretty streamlined and the code in it has been reviewed by several top WordPress developers.

Also, you’ll want to be careful if you remove code. Just because you don’t see it make a change in your current view may not mean it wasn’t being used. Some code is used for the mobile view, for example.

All CSS code for WordPress themes start in the style.css file.

If your site is hosted at WordPress.com, however, then you may not edit the style.css file and you can only add CSS.

if your site is using WordPress but hosted somewhere other than WordPress.com, then you can edit the style.css file directly. However, removing code from that file is not advised. :)

Also, you’ve posted in a WordPress.com forum. If you need further help with a non-WordPress.com blog, please ask at http://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentyfourteen
