Do email subscribers show up in my stats?
-
My blog sends out emails whenever a new post goes live. The email contains the whole of the post. If someone opens the email and reads the post, will that show up at all in my site visitor stats? If not, how can I change this? Is there a way to have the notification email encourage people to open the blog website itself?
Thanks, Tom

Hi! People who read your post via email would normally not show up in your stats:
https://wordpress.com/support/statsWhat you can do in order to encourage them to click through is to only send out an excerpt of your post. That setting is controlled by the “feed setting” – you can change that to be an excerpt only:
https://wordpress.com/support/settings/reading-settings/#show-full-text-or-excerptThere’s also a manual method to do that, using the More block:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/I hope that helps, if you do have any other questions let us know!
