Do flat screen computers affect images?!
-
I know this sounds like a stupid question…but the computer I use at work is a flatscreen HP computer with IE and my blog often lookes terrible on it…many of the images do not show up at all. At home I use a Dell Dimension PC (with the regular old monitor) and myblog looks fine then on both IE and Firefox. Any ideas?! Also, yes I’m also having that stats image problem but I’m using IE here and again, it looks fine at home…

It’s probably not your monitor but your version of IE that’s the difference. What versions are you using? IE6 does not work well with WP.com generally speaking.

Oh yes, I think this is IE6 alright…it doesn’t have the tab option..so I guess that’s it. I use IE7 at home. Is there any way to assure that your blog would look good in both IE6 and IE7? Would you need to download wordpress from wordpress.org to make adjustment…I’ll admit I know very little about all that!

Unfortunately, as a former IE6 user I have to say that I don’t know any way to make such things work other than centering images and starting text below them. Would that help you?
The images should show up in any case, but the typical IE6 error is that they overlap text.

Yes, images are overlapping text, but some images are not showing up at all…In fact, I just noticed that the L in ‘Leave a Reply’ on this page is missing!
