Do followers get email even when post is delayed?

  Hi,

  I would like to know if I post by email with a delay (or schedule a post by email) and send it, would my followers get that email when I send it or when the post is scheduled to be published?
  Just to be clear: do my followers get the post when it’s sent or when it is actually published?
