    i have used up my 3gb free storage. if i purchase the premium plan and get the 13gb total, what happens when i run out of that room?

    You pay each year to maintain the additional 10GB storage. So it’s for a total of 13GB (3GB+10GB).

    Since it’s taken you 4 years to max out your free 3GB, if you resize and optimize your images before uploading them that additional 10GB should last you quite a long time. I imagine that once you run out of that room, you’ll be offered an additional amount of paid storage.

    Let me explain a little more. The theme you are currently using, Twenty Eleven, displays full size images in the theme content column at 585 pixels wide and on image attachment pages at 848 pixels wide. Any image you upload that is larger than 1024 pixels wide is a huge waste of storage space. Resizing and optimized images saves space, makes your site faster to load and preserves image clarity.

    No. It is not cumulative. Think of it as renting those extra gigabytes per year.

    And here’s the thing about the Premium plan.

    Up until this past week, users whose accounts were older than September 1st last year (which your’s is) were able to purchase individual upgrades (like No Ads, or another 10GB of storage) rather than needing to buy the entire Premium bundle package. Now, however, that is only true if you had a previous upgrade of any kind. If you didn’t buy any upgrade within the last year, you’ll have to buy the Premium bundle just to get the 10GB of additional storage.

    If you did have some kind of upgrade on your site, like No Ads, see if you can purchase the 10GB by itself in your site’s Dashboard>Store>Store at http://dancingwithcolor.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
