Do I have to move domains from WordPress.com to .org for a custom theme?

I registered my domain with WordPress.com, then realized I wanted to install a custom theme, so would need to transfer to WordPress.org instead. I set up the new hosting and changed the nameservers. However, I still see the WordPress.com dashboard so I can’t install the custom theme. Do I need to move the domain to the new host to upload the custom theme?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Nope! You don’t need to move your domain anywhere. You just need to make sure that you’re logging in to your site at:

    http://www.montefuscoestateplanning.com/wp-admin

If you log in anywhere else (such as at montefuscoestateplanning.wordpress.com/wp-admin or at wordpress.com) then you will be taken to your old dashboard!
