Do I have to pay for both domains for a year?

  I just created my wordpress.com site in september 2014 and purchased web hosting and a domain name for a year. Now I would like to change/transfer to wordpress.org.
  My question: Do I have to pay for the wordpress.com domain for the whole year as well as the new wordpress.org domain?

  If you purchased hosting, you HAVE a .org blog. WordPress.com does not sell hosting; all blogs here are hosted for free.

  http://www.cindyscutecorner.com/ is a WordPress.org blog.
