Do I have to pay for mapping a sub domain if I have a Value Bundle?

  I paid for the Value Bundle which includes domain mapping. However when I followed the instructions to add my prepaid subdomain on the appropriate page (https://theblacktieblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains) I got a notice confirming that I can add the domain but I’ll have to pay $13 to do so. Why?

  Sorry for the confusion with that. Once you checkout, you won’t be charge for the mapping subscription.

  There’s one more thing that WordPress could improve about the domain mapping process. After I added my domain I deliberately did not activate it as my primary domain until I could do some further testing. However, WordPress went ahead and automatically made it my primary domain. Either the activation is automatic or it’s manual – it can’t be both.
