Do I have to purchase a plan in order to launch

  I thought I could launch for free my blog with the WordPress domain as I’d done a few times several years ago. Is that still the case? If so, how do I do this? Or do I have to pay $$ in order for anyone else to access the blog?

  Hi Jane, our free plan sometimes changes. You can find the current offerings here:
  https://wordpress.com/free/

  That said, you can certainly launch a free site. Just click “free” options in the launch process.
