do i have to upgrade for…..
-
i have a html that i would like to put onto my site do i have to upgrade for that and if so. is it just the $15.00 or is it $15.00 a month. I’m trying to do bidvertiser.com where you have to put an ad on your site to get paid. before i pay does wordpress allow this.

1) it’s $15 per year, not per month.
2) the upgrade only lets you enter CSS as the name implies
3) html can only be entered in text widgets
4) script, embed, iframe, and object tags cannot be added at all
5) commercial blogging is specifically prohibited by the terms of service. if you want to do pro blogging, you’ll need to pay for a webhost and download software from http://wordpress.org/download/ -
WordPress.com does not allow advertising on their sites however and that particular ad would not be allowed on your site. Sorry about that.
You can place HTML in your sidebar for links and images, but nothing with a script like javascript or any other code that might be a security issue. Upgrades are more for customization of what your site looks like, added space for your images and files, having your own domain name and having more than 35 members on a private blog. There is nothing that allows you to run things on your blog more than any other blog.

Just to clarify, wp.com does allow a single text affliate link within your sitebar. Actual picture adverts are not allowed though.
