Do I need a Child theme for my site?
-
I have been building my site, and getting it the way that I want. I am using the twenty ten theme, and have done things to make my site look more like a website and not a blog. But I was reading a few post on here and people where making it sound like I need to make a child theme or I will loose all my work if the twenty ten was ever updated. Is this true? Also do I have to update my twenty ten, or can I just leave it the way it is? My site is still a work in progress, but I have seen other people put their link on here for better support. crsaz.us/wordpress.
If it is recommended that I do a child theme, can someone recommend a good a good tutorial to make one and not get lost in the process. I am not great with coding from scratch, I understand the idea of code, and can look through code to find things, so I am not a begginer fully. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!
Thanks
