Do I need a Cookies Policy?

  I’ve noticed that a number of websites have pop-ups saying that they use cookies, do I need one?
  Do I need a policy? An opt out?
  Do I need to do anything?

  Certain European countries are beginning to investigate and pass legislation surrounding the use of cookies on websites in their countries. If you live in a country which has or is considering passing some of this legislation, you may want to research what is required so that you can be fully prepared on your site, as WordPress.com does use cookies for our commenting system as well as some other key features.
