  Turning your blog into a website – do you need a different URL to do this instead of my WordPress blog URL?

  A blog is a website!

  It is a special kind of website which offers the option to have a dynamically changing list of articles or posts displayed in reverse chronological order.

  You can use WordPress.com to build a traditional page-based site. There is no requirement to have the post-page. Set your front page as static, then add as many pages as you like.
