  Just want a blog not a website. Do I need a domain?

  You need to get a domain. WordPress.com offers several different plans which you can work with. They also offer a free plan, so you can create your domain on the link below:

  Hi @whatsupketchupblog and @austinsangs,

  just to make it clear – you do not need a paid, custom domain. If you prefer, you can keep the free subdomain with .wordpress.com or home.blog extension. You can upgrade your blog at any moment, but you’re not required to do that. If you’d like to see how the free plan compares to the other subscriptions, have a look here:
