Do I need a paid site to add a contact page to my home page?
-
Hello. I’m really struggling here. Have been trying to figure this out but I’m getting nowhere. Bascially, I have a free site and can’t seem to find a way to link the Contact Us page to my homepage. I feel like a complete idiot! Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We’d be happy to assist. I see that you have not yet created a contact page yet. So, I would first create that page:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/#how-to-add-a-contact-form-in-your-posts-or-pages
Then you can go to Appearance > Menus and add it to your menu items list. I see that you have invalid notifications, and that is because you are creating menu items for pages that do not yet exist:
You again need to create the page first. To add a new page to your site, click on Pages in your Dashboard and then click Add New Page. Here are instructions on how to create a page in general:
https://wordpress.com/support/pages/#create-and-edit-your-pages
Then, you should be able to go to Appearance > Menus, and the pages you created should be under the Page drop-down section that you can now add. Here are step by step instructions from our support page:
https://wordpress.com/support/menus/create-a-menu/#create-a-menu-in-wp-admin
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions. -
Thanks for your reply. However, my page does not look the same as it does in your help video. There are no icons on the top left of this page and I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

Hi there,
It’s possible that we’re being thrown off by how you phrased your question. To clarify, you are trying to place a contact form directly on your homepage at stellanobregagarcia.wordpress.com?
Your homepage appears to be in draft still, but you can add the Form Block to your homepage here: https://stellanobregagarcia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2&action=edit
This guide will walk you through how to add the Form Block to your page: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/#how-to-add-a-contact-form-in-your-posts-or-pages
Once you publish the page (it is in draft status at the moment) the contact form will appear to anyone visiting your homepage directly.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks for your reply. I would like the ‘contact us’ page to be on a separate page so when someone clicks on Contact on the menu, they are taken to that page.
I have tried several times to follow the video on how to set up the contact page, but it is not working like the one in the video.
Very frustrating…

I just took a look at the site. Love the background you picked!
I can see you have a Contact Page in draft status. Can you publish that, as well as the front page? Your site is in “Coming Soon” mode, so only you and staff can see it. And the pages will work a lot better when they’re published.

Thank you all so much for your replies, especially supernovia. That really helped! Glad you love the background as well!
