Do I need a second word press site?
-
I need to set up a content manager in Word Press where my marketing team can add blog posts that are then displayed on our company website. We have a blog at blog.clocktree.com but we don’t want these new blog post to appear there, or anywhere publicly except on our company website. We want to use word press as the content manager so we can quickly add content w/out having to do a deploy on our website. Question: do I need a second word press site to accomplish this or can it be done with our existing blog (by hiding the posts from public view)

Hi there!
So where exactly would you like to display those posts?
You can add blog posts to the existing site and create a specific page that would display your posts. You can then add that page to your menu or post a link to it on any other page you wish. -
Is it possible to list posts of a particular category on a different page rather than directly linking the category?
For instance: I want to “Books” category posts to appear at domain/books/ rather than domain/category/books/ url.

@liberallypeppered,
Please don’t post into threads created by other users, and include the URL of the site you need help with when asking for help in the forums.
Category pages on WordPress.com will always contain the word “category” in the permalink. There is no way to change it.
In case you’re asking about the self-hosted site you mentioned in this thread, it might be possible in that version of WordPress, but you’ll need to ask the WordPress.org community for advice on that at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
We’re only able to help with sites that are hosted on WordPress.com in this forum.
