Do I need Backup Creator and Plugin Dashboard from Robert Plank?

I am continously receiving emails from Robert Plank regarding Backup Creator and plugins
He writes:manage your WP plugins and never lose a plugin again
Update them all at once, get emails when there are new versions available, click around and install the best plugins onto your site (including paid ones) in 1 click?Do I need this for my blog in WordPress.com??

Robert Plank has nothing to do with WordPress.com. Also, Backup Creator isn’t necessary as we do backup our servers regularly. However, if you want to create a manual backup for peace of mind, you can export a file to your computer. Here are the instructions:
Third party plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.
Plugins are only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.
I know the difference between .com and .org can get confusing, so here’s a breakdown of the benefits of each:
