Do I need dreamhost?

    I’ve been using my wordpress blog of a little over a year now. When I first started it I purchased the custom domain and I’m having it hosted through dreamhost. Is this necessary? Do I really need to be spending $10 a month to have my custom domain? Is it possible to just have it at wordpress.com?

    No, you do not need hosting at dreamhost since your blog, http://mountainhighmotoring.com/ , is hosted here at wordpress.com. You can keep the domain name registered through dreamhost and just close the hosting account.

    Alternately you could transfer the domain name registration over to wordpress (Automattic) but that really isn’t necessary.
