Do I need hosting with an outside company?

    Hello, I want to create a directory website that allows users to post classifieds for items the wish to sell or barter. I want to know if I need hosting outside of what wordpress offers. I also wanted to get your opinion on the SEOS Theme for wordpress. Do you think it will actually work as intended; do many of your users use these?     WordPress.com allows you to use certain themes and plugins, but it’s very limited.

    In order to have full-control over your blog and the option to go a little crazy and install plugins and themes as you please, you’ll need to self host your wordpress install.

    It’s easier than you think, but requires a little work.

    Having a self-hosted blog would allow you to be able to bend it into anything you want it to be, including a classifieds site.
