Do I need permission?

  I have a art/painting blog. I want to share the work of some other artists who are on the web. Can I link pictures from their site with the full name and linked credit back to their site, without having to contact them and ask permission?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You do not need permission to link. You might need permission to display images and artwork depending upon the author’s copyright policy. Visual images should have permission. A link is not good enough.
