Do I need the Business plan or the Personal one is enough for my needs?
-
I have my site designed and I can publish it without paying anything at this moment.
My goal is to have a custom domain. That is all.
When I try to purchase a custom domain, WordPress adds automatically the business plan and I can’t change that.
When trying to add a Personal (4€/month) plan to my account, part of the process seems to be acquiring the domain, but i feel it won’t be attached to my already existing site.
I’m quite lost and confused. I just need the domain from WordPress and I’m willing to upgrade my account for it, but with the simplest and most affordable option.
Can anyone guide me on what to do and how to?
Thanks.

Hi there,
You can register a domain without buying a plan, but then the domain will just redirect traffic to your free http://42herramientas.wordpress.com/ address.
If you actually want the site to appear at your custom domain, i.e. showing your custom domain in the browser address bar, you will need a paid plan.
If this is all you want, the Personal Plan is sufficient. Additionally, you’ll only need to pay for the plan – the domain registration is included for free for the first year.
From next year onwards, you’ll pay for the plan and the domain renewal separately.
