Do I need to buy a plan to map a domain name I own to my WP site
-
I bought a domain name for my site thinking I could map my URL while using a free WP site. Am I seeing that’s not accurate? Having to pay a full year at a time is cost-prohibitive on my fixed income for even a Personal plan.

Domain subscriptions can only be purchased as a part of one of our plans, https://wordpress.com/pricing/.

I already have my domain name. I was hoping I could use the domain name without paying for a whole year of a plan, but I take it that’s not possible.
The company I got my domain from has WP hosting at a monthly price I can fit into my budget, so I’ll be buying hosting from them and migrate my site to their servers. An added benefit is the fact that I should be able to integrate my Spreadshirt shop into my site on their servers, which will be a big plus for my site.
Thanks for the quick response. I really like your hosting my site, but having to pay for a full year at a time simply isn’t possible for my budget.
