Do I need to create site even for blogging?

Hi there,
Are you asking whether you’d need to create a site in order to blog? In that case, yes, you do. To start a new site, go to My Site. There will be a page saying ‘You don’t have any WordPress site yet’ with an option to create one. Select this and you can create a new site.
Alternatively you can create a new site by going to https://wordpress.com/start/.

https://wordpress.com/support/start/However, if you don’t want to make it public, you don’t have to. If you’ve already launched your site, you can go to My Site > Manage > Settings and scroll down to Privacy. You can make your site Coming Soon which will mean only you can view it, or Private, which will mean only you and WordPress.com users you approve will be able to view it.
