Do I need to Forward to new self hosted site if I already have domain mapping?
-
Hello,
I’m wondering if all of the pages of my wordpress.com blog already have their own unique URLs instead of subdomain URLs, do I still need to pay/use wordpress.com’s service to do 301s for my pages if/when I move my wordpress.com blog to my own hosting?
In other words, if I have currently have mysite.wordpress.com BUT, I have my own domain and mapping and so it shows up as mysite.com and mysite.com/page1 and mysite.com/info, etc, etc, IF NOW I want to actually host this site my self (move the contents), do I still need to forward the pages/URLS?
My guess is no, because the search engines have them indexed already as the proper domain pages and subpages, but I thought I would ask.
Thanks
