do I need to install my new theme on my computer?

Hello, I’m new to WordPress.
I just purchased the Sketch theme today in order to set up an online portfolio.
Should I install the theme locally on my computer or just manage everything on line?Thanks in advance!

Hi Pascale,
It wouldn’t be possible to install the theme locally as WordPress.com themes do not transfer. You can manage everything via you WordPress.com Dashboard.

I think I just got confused because I watched this online tutorial:

So, besides my source files, I don’t need anything installed on my computer to manage my new Sketch themed blog/portfolio?Best,

Please note that that tutorial wouldn’t apply to your blog because it is hosted with us at WordPress.com. The tutorial is regarding self-hosted, WordPress.org sites.
