Do I need to install Word Press on my computer.

  Hey ,

  I am new to Word Press and post regularly. Wanted to know whether I need to install WordPress on my computer before I start posting ? I mean I am confused …. can’t I start blogging just by registering my Blog? Do I have to install Word Press?
  Please help

  You can start blogging as soon as you get your WordPress.com blog. That’s what we all have on here. But if you want to host your own site, if you know how to, then you need to go to WordPress.org http://wordpress.org/ I would host my own site if I knew how to but I’m not that computer savy and I know I would screw it up. So I stay here with my free blog at WordPress.com :)

  That’s one of the benefits of having your blog here at WP.com. All you have to worry about is just making the Posts. Everything else is pretty much taken care for you.

  Do all posters to my blog have to have Word Press Accounts?

  What is the difference between hosting the blog your self and having word press host it? Does having word press host it require that all post-submitters be members of word press with a password. Would that not be the case if I were hosting the the blog myself?
