Do I need to transfer or map my purchased domain name?

  I have purchased a Google domain name, and am in the process of creating a simple WordPress website, with Blue host hosting. Do I need to transfer or map my domain name?

  Neither. You will want to contact Bluehost on how to connect your domain to their web hosting. You won’t purchase a plan here and transfer or map, as this is WordPress.com hosting.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.

  For any future support on your website, you’ll use https://wordpress.org/support/. Hope that helps!
