    do I need to upgrade the custom design for new theme but the same blog?

    Hi

    Custom Design isn’t tied to a specific theme, it’s only tied to a specific blog.

    Any changes made with Custom Design will persist when you switch to a new theme, with the exception of Custom CSS. CSS is per-theme, as it’s pretty likely that you’d need to re-write the CSS for any new theme you might switch to.

    Generally, it should just work; but if you switch themes and run into any problems with Custom Design, please do let us know. Thanks.
