Do I own the custom domain through WordPress?

  If I select the custom domain through wordpress at $18/year, do I own it once I no longer have a blog with wordpress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You own a domain name as long as you keep renewing the registration – you do not need to have a blog here to register a domain name here – if you move your blog / site to a new host – you can point the name servers to your new host and keep the domain name here or transfer the registration to a different registrar
