Do i pay the price for my own domain for a complete year or every year?

  Hello,
  I want to change my domain from example.wordpress.com to example.com and I want to know if I have to pay it now (the 18€) and in January again or October 2016 again?
  Because if I have to pay for only November + December, I’ll wait till January.

  If you register your domain today, the next payment would be in one year, meaning October 2016.
