Do I still need to 'map an existing domain' if my domain is already forwarded?
-
I own a domain name and it goes to my wordpress.com blog through the domain name registration place’s nameservers. Do I still need to ‘map an existing domain’?
Also, I have e-mail set up at my own domain which goes through gmail, all set up from within gmail. If I use wordpress.com’s ‘map an existing domain’, will this be thrown out or will it still work?
Thanks

If you map your domain here, you’ll need to adjust the email, which you can do following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/add-email/

Hi timethief, thanks for flagging this.
macmanx, thanks for your response.
I’m not going to have a chance to look into this for a couple more weeks, so will get back to you as soon as I can to let you know if this is resolved. Hope that’s okay?
(Sorry for the delay in responding too, I’ve been tied up with other things the last couple of weeks).
