DO NOT TRUST SAVE: Lost hours of work while using the save button, no revision
-
I used the save button multiple times while working on updating a page. None of it went through. There is nothing in the revisions, it’s just gone. I can’t rely on the save button. I’ll make my written changes in a word doc instead like a caveman, but I’ll be a safe caveman.

Hi @nick4n6,
I completely understand your frustration. Sometimes, editing a post could be anoying due to this issues. But, there are some steps that you can try to solve your issue:
Test your browser ((https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/):
- Try to edit and save the page using a different browser ;
- Open an incognito or private window in your current browser and try again. This will disable your extensions and clear the cache, which are often the culprits.
Desactive your extensions (https://www.google.com/search?q=https://wordpress.com/support/troubleshooting-deactivate-plugins/):
- If the problem persists, a plugin might be causing a conflict.
- Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins in your dashboard.
- Deactivate all of your plugins temporarily. (Don’t worry, you can reactivate them later).
- If the save button works after you deactivate them, reactivate them one by one until you find the plugin that is causing the problem.
Please, let us know if you need further help.
