  Do pdf files inserted into pages from media have to also remain in media library?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes – if you delete a picture or a pdf file from the media library that you ember or reference in a Page or Post the picture or PDF will disappear from the Post or Page also – a common error by the way – so don’t delete the file fro your media library

  I got a 404 error because of that very thing. My question arose because I had unfortunately removed some additional pdf files from “media” in order to “clean house” but those pages still seem to have the embedded file (I can click on the hyperlink and it opens the pdf.

  I intend to go back and re download into media and embed in new pages, just to make sure.
