Do people have to have WordPress accounts in order to like comments on my site?

New at this … I saw a like button (with a star next to it) on one of the comments on my page (it’s a test comment I put in). I can like it but when I showed it to friends, it appears that they can’t like it unless they have Word Press accounts? A dialog box showed up when the clicked like, asking for username and password.
    Thanks in advance for help!!

Unfortunately it looks as if anyone who wants to like ur caomment or page must create an account and log in … see below
