Do premium templates have the free advertising at the bottom?
-
We are on the way of creating a world class website for our fortune 500 clients and we are not interested in having the word FREE on our site.
Wellanyone who has Fortune 500 clients may be best off hiring a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and setting up a WordPress.ORG install. http://wordpress.org I assume anyone with clients can afford to do that and eliminate their angst. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ IMNHO if they can’t afford it then they don’t charge enough for their services or they ought to choose to be in another business.

I don’t know how long the Confit Theme has been around – but some of the older themes had the Powered by WordPress with a link to WordPress.ORG
I suspect that footer is some sort of Legacy

Oh my goodness – don’t let the staff know they missed a footer :)

Confit is newish, within the last year and a half.
I think staff are tinkering, and may have included a randomizer to change up the messages we see, and they are tracking which ones get the most clicks. On any particular blog it wouldn’t matter, but when you have this many, you can really see differences in the way wording performs.
If they’re NOT doing that, they should.
