Do some themes allow sub-headings and some don’t?

Hi, I have been looking around at lots of different blogs and I noticed some have multiple headings (such as a main title with funny punch lines underneath) and some don’t. I was told by a fellow WordPress blogger that some WordPress themes allow for such multiple headings while some don’t. Is that true?

When I was just starting out making my blog, I am pretty (ok, somewhat) sure that I saw a page that allows you to put out a heading plus sub-heading etc, but I can’t find it now.

However, I did manage to add a tagline underneath my main title just a while ago using General Settings.

    To conclude, my questions are:

    1) Do certain themes allow for multiple headings while some don’t?

    2) And what are the themes that allow for multiple headings?

    3) Is there supposed to be a menu page that I allows you the option to add headings besides the General Settings page?

The punch line below the title is the tagline. Some themes display it, some don’t – see here:

Another way to add a title and/or a tagline is make it part of an image, in the themes with custom header image plus “Hide Text” option – see here:

In a few themes you can write as much as you like below the header by using a special feature called Alert box or Notice or Homepage Intro – see here:

I’d like to make a small contribution because every day I shake my head when I see blogger’s who have mile long Taglines. . When you choose a tagline make sure that it’s a short and an effective one. Search engines like Google will only display a limited number of characters (65) and that means if you are a savvy blogger you will include the keywords that accurately define your blog’s brand in the Tagline. You can prove this to yourself by searching online for your own blog and witnessing what is displayed in the SERPs (search engine page results). When it comes to creating and Tagline then this post may be useful > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2009/06/22/creating-an-effective-blog-tagline/
    Happy blogging. :)
