do stats = number of unique visits to blog or are the numbers inflated by how

many posts/pages a visitor might click on? My blog has several pages — is it possible that my stats are inflated by the fact that people come and click on many pages/posts? If so, is there a way to know the true number of visitors?

  • Hi there – no, unique visits counts single visitors only, no matter how many pages they visit.

The following are not reflected in your stats:

    • Visits to uploaded documents and files
    • Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images
    • GoogleBot and other search engine spiders
    • Your own visits to your blog (for logged-in users of public blogs only)

thanks so much. sorry for the v delayed follow up query. I assume from your reply that my stats do NOT tell me the number of unique visitors I get to my blog, only the number of views per page I get? which could be one visitor visiting several pages? If so, is there any way I can track how many unique visitors I get each day? thanks !!

  • That is correct, we do not have a way to separately track unique visitors at this time.
