Do sticky posts ping?

  I’ve hunted for the answer to this and can’t find it, sorry. Do sticky posts ping when they’re first posted? I’d like to add a new sticky to one of my blogs and want it to ping when I publish it. Thanks.

  Also – do stickies that have previously been published ping if they’re edited and updated?

  All Posts should ping – sticky should make no difference – sticky just changes the displayed order
