Do they or don't they?

I put up a new blog post about an hour ago and within minutes I had 3 referrals from a site called blogsurfer [dot] us. I did not register with this site (although I can’t really complain because at least one of those visitors apparently browsed a few of my pages). So I checked the forums and found these two threads:

One says that referrals from that website don’t count towards the view count on the stats page; the other says they will. I don’t care one way or the other but I’d be curious to know if there is a definitive answer to this.

the wordpress.com “Blogsurfer” is a predecessor to the wordpress.com subscriptions.
the support page still exists:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-surfer/
and if you have used it previously, you may find that their are still blogs located there in you account. That is what those two forum links are referring to.Those blogsurfer [dot] us referrals in your stats are NOT wordpress.com, they are probably spam. If they are a nuisance, then follow the instructions here:
