Do unlocked features stay unlocked forever?

    I have a new blog that comes with a persistent banner up on top that says ‘Upgrade your plan to remove the banner and unlock more features’.

    If I, say, pay for one month of the Explorer plan and then go back to the Free plan, do the features stay unlocked forever, or are they only unlocked as long as one is paying?

    Features I’m particularly concerned about are style customization, being able to use themes that are ‘included with the Starter/Explorer’, permanent ad removal, and of course removal of the top banner.
