Do updates ever happen to themes?

  does anyone know if wp.com ever updates the themes they offer us? I’m totally in love with Hemingway right now, but man what i’d do to trade in my **long** list of categories for a tag-cloud. Since that particular theme is not widget-ready, though, I’m pretty much SOL.

  As far as I know, they just add themes, don’t tweak them. If you want a tag cloud, check out http://www.internetducttape.com; he’s done a tag cloud for WP.com blogs that aren’t widget enabled. It’s static, so you have to update it yourself maybe once a week. And you have to put it on a page or in a post. But it does work: I’ve done it myself.

  also, there is a tag cloud at http://wordpress.com/profile/derivative (gotta allow them to be displayed). the problem is, all the tags will go to the “mob folksonomy” pages instead of your blog.
