Do URLs change by upgrading?

  I have a blog on wordpress.com (free). I consider to upgrade to get rid of adds. But is that all that happens? I don’t want the URLs to change.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  if you get a custom domain name and use domain mapping all the old URL’s will continue to work – the custom domain name will then also work – so there are in effect two URL’s for each post or page
