Do views of /#comments page count as page views?
-
When a visitor clicks to expand the comments section on an individual post on my site, since it technically loads a new URL (one ending in /#comments) does that get counted as a second page view in my totals, or is the # a tag that WordPress uses to filter out those secondary views?
Basically, I want to know if visitors looking at my comments are artificially inflating my page views or not.
Thanks!

Yes, it counts as a second view. And I wouldn’t call that artificial inflation. You must drop the idea that each hit is one viewer.
