Do WordPress.COM Email Subscribers Transfer to WordPress.ORG?

I currently have around 850 email subscribers with WordPress.com.

If I transfer to WordPress.org, will I lose these email subscribers?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No they do not. Your subscribers will be lost, and they will have to sign up at the new blog location.

My suggestion is always to use a third-party email subscription service such as feedburner since that means you can move anywhere you want at any time and your subscribers will never see a disruption.

You can export your subscribers from here, but there is no way to import them into feedburner.

    Thanks a bunch.

I have another 1050 email subscribers via Feedburner, but once WordPress.com offered their new email option awhile ago, I went with it. I personally MUCH prefer the WordPress.com email option since the email is sent instantly when my post goes “live”, unlike Feedburner, which sends it during the 2 hour window I have set up, which means the next morning.

Anyhow, I’ll have to decide what I’m going to do as I thoroughly enjoy WordPress.com yet am currently contemplating moving to WordPress.org.
