do you have to pay to map a domain

I made a domain on go daddy and I wanted to know If i have to pay for it because $129 is a lot just to map my own domain. is there any way I can add it to my site address for free? it says free domain mapping so i don’t know what it’s charging me.

If you are using Godaddy’s website builder there’s an option to create a blog page, and you enter the wordpress website URL into it. They say it will appear as your own site and analytics will be attributed to your site.

no the only thing I have purchased is simply my domain name from godaddy. I’m not sure what to do next
