Do you need to have ‘Personal’ plan (and pay)

  We have used WordPress to set up a website and now want to host on a domain that we have just bought elsewhere. Do you need to take up the £3 a month ‘Personal’ plan? or can you use for free?

  You do need a paid plan to map a domain purchased elsewhere to a WordPress.com site. Upgrades are charged annually in advance, not monthly.
